Decided to dine at the tavern on a Monday evening. Ordered a lemon drop martini, chicken wings and the loaded fries. The server was very attentive. The environment is not noisy at all. I loved my food and drinks!

We love the quiet, coziness of the Pub area! We had a great waiter. Our meals were tasty, but the salmon could have had more flavoring. Very comfortable atmosphere. The chocolate layer cake is the Best in the world!

Gregg's is a very consistent restaurant chain. The menu is large and varied and it offers seasonal specials throughout the year. This last time, I got the traditional burger with fries and it was done perfectly. Nice and moist with some really nice crispy fries. If you are in the Rhode Island area and you want something good and inexpensive, head to any of the Gregg's restaurants around. You will find something you like on their menu.

Gregg's opened in 1972 and is known for their cakes for a reason; they are super decadent, moist, and scrumptious. There are four locations; in Providence, Warwick, East Providence, and a North Kingstown. It is a Rhode Island tradition! This one has spacious parking and the customer service was great. We were seated right away and the food came out quick. Their menu was huge and they have a to-go section where you can also order ahead by calling or going on their website to order. We started off with crab cakes as an appetizer; two crab cakes were drizzled with Chipotle aioli which were good. I had the margarita which was large and decently priced; it was 3.5 out of 5 stars. I ordered the chicken salad club with fries, these were delicious. Of course, I had to get the chocolate cake dessert and it was amazing. Overall, we had a great meal and enjoyed dining in this family friendly and affordable restaurant.

I'm well past being objective about Gregg's, over the years the restaurant continues to exude excellence from every chowder clogged pore. In New Jersey we'd call this a diner, except that Gregg's goes well beyond the basics and can do justice to even the most complicated of dishes. Although I have to admit that time and the constant hectoring of my doctor has sworn me off a gargantuan slice of their sumptuous carrot cake (or any of their marvelous homemade desserts) the temptation always remains. Gregg's is Rhode Island. A permanent five stars.
